Bettersnaptool snap area12/5/2023 It's unbelievable how much you can miss such a simple feature until it's gone. The odd thing is, I don't recall keeping that application, nor can I find it in my app folder. I know that app was a bit of over-kill for me, but I may have set some feature in it. BetterSnapTool is ranked 11th while SMBAct is ranked 22nd. I did, however, install a third-party app that I used to make a few minor sensitivity tweaks to my magic mouse. For me personally, however, the opposite would be even more fitting: to have BST/the snap areas disabled UNLESS I hold shift (or another one of those keys). If you need even more than those standard snap areas, BetterSnapTool now allows you to create your own, custom snap areas anywhere on your display. I know that theres the reverse option, so to speak, that can be selected in the preferences: Disable BetterSnapTool while holding specific keys (shift, command, option etc.). In most instances, its a minor annoyance to see my custom snap areas display on the screen every time I grab a window, but once in awhile, its a legitimate PITA when I accidentally drop a window inside a snap area. Most of the time Im moving windows, I do not need to snap. My boss had setup some aspects of the machine before he passed it off to me- I doubt he would have installed a third-party app because that's not how he works. BetterSnapTool Descargar e instalar para su ordenador - Windows PC 10, Windows 8 o Windows 7 y macOS 10X, macOS 11, procesador de 32/64 bits. I love BetterSnapTool overall Theres one problem. It was purchased by my company for an iOS project that I've been given to complete. The most important reason people chose BetterSnapTool is: With this feature, you can move any window into the desired position, select 'advanced: create a custom snap area (using current window as template)' from the toolbar and also edit settings for the snap area. Is there a chance that I've hit some type of keyboard shortcut and accidentally cut it off? Or, is there some preference setting (which I've tried my hardest to find) that I can check to see if this functionality has been cut off? BetterSnapTool is ranked 11th while SMBAct is ranked 22nd. I haven't been playing around with my computer preferences, either. If I drag the title bar to either the left or right of the screen, it fills 50% of the display, on that side.Īll of a sudden, this functionality has disappeared. This application possesses resizing and snap area options to specify window size and snap identifier. Specifically, if I grab the title bar and drag it to the top-center of my display, it expands the window size to the full size of my display. Here we have BetterSnapTool, another fully fledged Mac’s windows manager. I'm using OS X Lion, and there is a feature that I use all the time with my Thunderbolt display. I don't know what this feature is called.
